Guidelines for Presenters

Online presenters can opt to use our exclusive ICMAL 2026 digital backdrop! You can download the design from the links below:

Please note that using this backdrop is OPTIONAL. Feel free to choose your own designs.

Each presenter is allocated 12 minutes in total, which includes:

  • Presentation delivery
  • Question & Answer (Q&A) session

Presenters are strongly advised to:

  • Limit their presentation to 10 minutes
  • Reserve approximately 2 minutes for Q&A

Strict adherence to time is essential to ensure smooth session flow:

Session chairs will:

  • Signal when 5 minutes remain
  • Stop presentations that exceed the allocated time

Late arrivals:

  • May result in reduced presentation time, or
  • Risk forfeiting the presentation slot

Presenters are required to:

  • Be present in the session room (or online platform) at least 10-15 minutes before the session begins

(Optional but recommended to include for completeness)

Presenters should:

  • Test their slides and compatibility prior to the session
  • Bring a backup copy (USB/cloud)
  • May use on laptop

Online presenters

  • Must ensure stable internet connection, audio, and camera readiness

Q&A will take place immediately after each presentation

Participants are encouraged to:

  • Ask concise and relevant questions
  • Engage in professional and respectful discussion

Session chairs will moderate and manage time for Q&A

There is no prescribed template for presentation slides

Presenters may:

  • Use their own institutional or personal slide design

However, participants are encouraged to:

  • Ensure clarity, readability, and academic professionalism
  • Avoid excessive text and use visual aids where appropriate

All presenters must complete their conference fee payment by 15 April 2026

Failure to do so will result in:

  • Removal from the conference programme
  • Exclusion from presentation scheduling and proceedings

Presenters must:

  • Maintain academic integrity and professionalism
  • Respect time limits and session procedures

Participants should:

  • Silence mobile devices
  • Avoid disruptions during presentations
